Now, we’re looking for a Head of SEO & Content Marketing with a proven track record of optimizing website traffic and content performance.
This role is aligned to the Cloudways business unit. You will be an experienced and highly strategic leader with global technology marketing experience, who can help us navigate evolving trends in web discoverability and the SEO landscape. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, you are an experienced people leader who is able to build and optimize processes, hold teams accountable, and create an environment where they feel challenged, motivated, and empowered.
Beyond SEO expertise, this individual must possess deep knowledge of how Generative AI and Google's algorithmic updates (such as Search Generative Experience and Helpful Content Updates) have impacted online businesses, able to demonstrate successful strategies for maneuvering through these changes. This role demands a data-first approach, where every initiative is tied to broader business goals and can be measured against set KPIs. You will be hands-on and results-driven, with a proven ability to use data-driven insights to increase website traffic, create repeat content engagement, and optimize organic acquisition performance. This position is a hybrid role to be based in Karachi, PK (in-person presence at least 3 times a week) as part of a high-impact, customer-centric team.
What You'll Be Doing
Organic Growth & Strategy Execution:
Develop and execute a high-impact organic growth strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Drive impactful SEO, content marketing, and organic acquisition efforts, focusing on measurable results and business impact. Design and implement scalable processes and frameworks to maximize efficiency and output from the organic growth team. Stay ahead of Google’s evolving search landscape and AI-driven search models to proactively adapt strategies. Own and drive growth in website traffic, content engagement, and organic conversions, ensuring continuous improvement in key performance metrics. Multilingual Website Expansion & International SEO:
Lead the launch and management of multilingual websites to expand into non-English-speaking markets. Develop a robust international SEO strategy to ensure optimal visibility across different regions. Collaborate with localization teams, translators, and technical SEO experts to optimize content for different languages and cultural contexts. Lead hreflang implementation, localized keyword research, and region-specific content strategies to drive growth in global markets. Leadership, Team Motivation & Accountability:
Lead and mentor a team of SEO specialists, content creators, and analysts, ensuring each team member is held accountable while staying motivated and challenged. Foster a culture of ownership, performance, and continuous improvement, encouraging innovation in organic growth. Create processes that drive accountability without micromanagement, allowing the team to operate efficiently and autonomously. Performance Analysis & Optimization:
Set key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting frameworks to track organic growth success. Analyze SEO and content performance data to provide actionable insights and optimize strategies. Use advanced analytics to connect SEO and content efforts to revenue and customer acquisition goals. Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as the bridge between organic growth and other key departments (Paid Media, Product Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Social Media, Comms & PR etc.) to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategies. Work closely with senior executives to present data-backed growth strategies and progress updates. Advocate for organic growth initiatives by demonstrating clear ROI and long-term impact. At least 10+ years of senior management experience in SEO and organic growth with a global B2B tech company, ideally in the cloud computing or web hosting sectors. Strong expertise in GA4, Google Search Console, and the latest AI-driven SEO and content marketing tools available in the digital marketing space. Proven success in scaling organic growth, with demonstrable use cases of increasing website traffic, improving content engagement metrics, and online conversions. Global exposure, with experience leading organic growth strategies across multiple regions and markets, with knowledge of working in non-English speaking markets. Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams. Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills. What We’ll Expect from You
