Inspection Engineer
Company Description Descon Oxychem Ltd. (Chemical Vertical of Descon) supplies customized Hydrogen Peroxide (HP) chemical-based solutions for textiles, food and beverage safety as well as other industrial and consumer sectors. Responsibilities Oversee the Vibration Analysis Program for rotary equipment in collaboration with a third-party company, ensuring accurate fault identification and diagnosis. Collaborate closely with the maintenance department to implement and execute recommendations effectively. Coordinate the inspection of static equipment (e.g., reformers, vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and piping) through a third-party company, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards. Implement the Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Plan to enhance equipment reliability. Develop comprehensive inspection packages for plant turnarounds. Execute and oversee all inspection activities during turnaround periods to ensure quality and safety. Implement PSM (Process Safety Management) modules related to Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance at the plant. Develop and monitor OPEX for plant inspections and execution of relevant CAPEX projects. Conduct Root Cause Analysis for mechanical damage in equipment such as piping, vessels, and storage tanks, recommending corrective and preventive actions. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 3-4 years of experience in inspection and condition monitoring. Proficiency in vibration analysis tools and techniques. Good knowledge of API, ASME, and ASTM standards. Hands-on experience with RBI planning and implementation. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in root cause analysis. Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work across departments.
